Effective date: 14 May 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what you may and may not do with the GraceLumiq platform and services. It applies to all users and supplements our Terms of Service. Capitalised terms have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

Graceworks believes in keeping this simple: use GraceLumiq for legitimate business analytics, treat others with respect, and do not use our infrastructure to break laws or harm people.

2. Permitted uses

You may use GraceLumiq to:

  • Upload, connect, and analyse your own business data (sales, finance, operations, HR, eCommerce, etc.);
  • Ask questions about your data using our AI-powered query interface;
  • Generate charts, reports, and forecasts based on your data;
  • Share dashboards and reports with your authorised team members;
  • Integrate with connected third-party services (Google Sheets, Shopify, Xero, etc.) using your own credentials;
  • Use white-label features only on an active White Label plan to provide analytics to your own clients.

3. Prohibited uses

You must not use GraceLumiq to:

3.1 Illegal or harmful activity

  • Violate any applicable South African law, regulation, or court order;
  • Process, store, or transmit data that you do not have the legal right to use;
  • Engage in fraud, identity theft, phishing, or any deceptive practice;
  • Facilitate illegal discrimination on the basis of race, gender, religion, or any other protected ground.

3.2 Harmful or offensive content

  • Upload or process content that is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or threatening;
  • Process personal information of children under 18 in connection with profiling, marketing, or analytics without appropriate consent and legal basis.

3.3 Security and infrastructure

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to GraceLumiq systems, accounts, or infrastructure;
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any GraceLumiq system without our prior written consent;
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or malicious code into the Service;
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Service in a way that degrades performance for other users;
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or plan restrictions through technical means.

3.4 Data misuse

  • Use GraceLumiq to process special personal information as defined in POPIA Section 26 (including health data, biometric data, religious beliefs, sex life, criminal offence information, or trade union membership) without a separate Data Processing Agreement with Graceworks;
  • Use AI Output for medical, legal, financial, investment, or other professional advice without independent expert verification;
  • Aggregate personal information from the Service to build profiles for surveillance, tracking, or targeting of individuals.

3.5 Resale and competitive activity

  • Resell, sublicence, or white-label access to the Service without Graceworks' prior written consent (except as expressly permitted on a White Label plan);
  • Use the Service to develop a competing product or benchmark it in a way intended to compete with GraceLumiq without our consent;
  • Share login credentials between multiple users to avoid purchasing appropriate seats.

4. Fair use and resource limits

4.1 Each plan has defined limits (data sources, queries per month, file sizes) as described on our pricing page. Using the Service within these limits is always permitted.

4.2 Even within plan limits, you must not use the Service in a way that materially degrades the experience for other customers (e.g., running continuous high-volume batch jobs that monopolise shared infrastructure).

4.3 Graceworks may implement additional technical rate limits without notice to protect platform stability.

5. Reporting violations

If you believe someone is using GraceLumiq in violation of this AUP, please report it to trust@gracelumiq.co.za. We take all reports seriously and investigate promptly.

6. Consequences of violation

Graceworks may, at its discretion and without prior notice:

  • Issue a warning;
  • Temporarily suspend your access;
  • Permanently terminate your account;
  • Remove or disable access to violating content or integrations;
  • Report conduct to relevant authorities.

We will use reasonable judgment and consider the severity and context of any violation. We will attempt to notify you of enforcement actions where legally permitted and where doing so does not compromise an investigation.

7. Changes

Graceworks may update this AUP from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.
